Kaleidoscope Travel Group, one of the UK's largest operators of escorted holidays worldwide, has completed the first phase of a major system implementation to deploy Comtec's Travelink sales and management system.

The new technology platform now supports travel booking and management services for its contact-centre staff across its Travelsphere, Page & Moy and Just You brands – over 300 staff that process up to 6,500 calls per day. Additionally, the Travelink system powers search and booking services for the Group's websites.

Commenting, Steve Foster, CEO at Kaleidoscope Travel Group said, "This has been a major implementation project including over 350 man days of bespoke software development in addition to delivery of the core Travelink platform. We are delighted that the Kaleidoscope Travel and Comtec project teams have delivered such a substantial project on budget and in time to capture bookings for the 2009 season."

Following the successful launch of its phase 1 delivery, Kaleidoscope Travel is now working with Comtec to deliver a number of additional software enhancements to further develop its technology platform during 2008.
