Travel technology supplier Comtec announced today that it has attained Principal Partner status in the Sun Partner Advantage Program for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). Comtec qualified for this level by meeting Sun's stringent criteria for excellence as a supplier of travel technology solutions.

By achieving Principal Partner status, Comtec joins the growing community of ISVs that are developing applications for porting applications to the Sun platform.

Specifically, Comtec is porting its Travelcat Agency Management System to Sun’s Solaris™ 10 Operating System (OS) this year. As a scalable management system management, Travelcat provides travel agents of all sizes with comprehensive administrative, operation and reporting functions and can be fully integrated with leading travel agency front-office applications, including Comtec’s Travelconnect selling system.
